Flower Sandals

So here's yet another project I finished up with not too long ago.
I found the pattern a bit tedious, and not so joysome to work with, however you have to admit, the sandals are cute :)

I found the pattern on etsy. Not sure I'll revisit the pattern again, however she's got some cute stuff in her store. I have my eye on several items for the future :)

Toy Owl

Here's one of my little projects I've put together in the last several weeks...
I have some more photos, but need to do some clean up and a good reboot to my computer. Too many files bogging me down! (this is a constant in my life)

I will be working on yet another little sundress for my niece in the up coming weeks, and HOPE to also get some ground on an afgan I've had in mind for Daniella. I thought it might be a good time to move forward in it, being we will be moving our daughter to a toddler bed very soon!

Sea Breeze SunDress

I finally had the opportunity to do another photoshoot of my very busy toddler in her new Sea Breeze Sundress. I absolutely love the dress on her! It's simplistic in style, yet very classy.
I had to alter the pattern from size 6-9 months to a fitted 18 months, however being my daughter is a very slender 1 year old I actually left the width intact and just added length. I chose to leave the length just above the knees so she would not be constricted while playing. The weight of the yarn also makes the dress a little heavy. The bottoms of the dress do roll up, so I found a diaper cover to come in very handy. I considered making a diaper cover, though I think it would become too bulky, so borrowing a diaper cover from a little cotton sundress works very well.

Over all I am very pleased. I'm considering making yet another one in another color. Right now though, I'm working on a couple of other projects.

Pattern can be found at RAKJ Patterns website.

Monkey Hat

After the long awaited reveal, here it is! ..... (drum roll)

(I will be posting a few more images from the shoot on my photoblog when I get my desktop back from the repair shop)

I found the pattern via RAKJ Patterns. I had the opportunity to test out my new favorite to work with... cotton yarn!

More coming soon!....

It has been a while since my last post... but there will be more coming soon!

Life took an unexpected turn in March when I found out that I was pregnant again! So completing finals in my first trimester was a bit challenging, and took up most of my energy and free time. Meanwhile chasing around my now 15 month old.

Summer has brought with it the beginning of my second trimester and a little more rest. I have found more free time to resume my crochet projects, though things are going a little more slowly than before.

I have Monkey Hat waiting for a photoshoot, and am in the process of working on a toddler's dress. Pictures to follow as soon as my husband has some time off to help me with a photoshoot.

As for now, we've been chillin' out at Grandma's (mom's) house a lot :) And trying to make the most of the beautiful summer weather.

Crochet Fun

I thought I'd share this photo I took for my photo class this week being it pertained to crochet :)

Scalloped Edge Bib

I was planning to make a set of three, but got interrupted. I am hoping to finish the set soon...
I found the pattern here, but added length to both the width of the bib and strap to better fit my daughter who is one. The strap is adjustable as well, which is nice. :)
I'm sorry, no fancy pictures this week. I'm in the middle of Mid Terms so my time is very limited right now.

Flower Headband

I made this headband for a photoshoot. It's cute and fun, and was a pretty easy and quick make. I found the pattern for free in one of my many online searches. It can be found on this blog. Be sure to scroll down on the page.
The rest of the Photoshoot can be found on my Photo Blog.

Mini Handbag

I found the cutest little pattern. This little handbag is the perfect size to stuff a wallet and some lip gloss in, or a fun size for a little girl :)

Mug Cozy

I fell in love with this little pattern when I saw it on Etsy and had to try it out myself. I enjoy a nice cup of coffee, especially so during the winter months.

Autmn Hat with Bow

After a bit of fussing with the pattern, I managed to complete this adorable hat for my daughter. Once I figured out what adjustments needed to be made to the pattern to it took about 4 days to complete with what spare time I had to work with.

Here's the beautiful model and birthday girl in the hat :)

Day Dream Hat

A set of two, for twins.
I made these for an acquaintance of Robert's from work. He and his wife were expecting twin boys, and due to complications the twins were born around 24 weeks.
Stories like these make me ever thankful for modern day medicine. The twins are fine, but still in the hospital.

My aspiration is to get the chance to photograph the twins in these once they get out of the hospital, that is if the hats still fit :)
